The name Dove Gallery was chosen after the death of Arthur and Nancy Dove, the owner, Kate Bailey's parents, in 2017 and 2018. Kate and her husband Trevor Bailey felt this would be a an important part of their legacy and provide a lasting memory that they hope will support the careers of both established and new local artists and those from further afield.
Dove Gallery is also the shop frontage to a beautiful and sympathetically refurbished late 16th Century cottage called "Dove Cottage". The cottage has a substantial ground floor "living room" area that has been fitted out to provide an extended gallery space also available for rent if you need a larger "event" area.
