We wanted to do our bit and raise money for a local charity during lockdown. We know how important dogs are, helping to keep us sane, often making us laugh and keeping us active! As artists a we felt we could raise money by painting dogs in aid of our local hospice, Sue Ryder's Leckhampton Court Hospice. Dog owners are sending in their photos and for a donation of £25 plus postage we are producing their dog's portrait.
It has proved to be a great way to brighten up people's lives while raising money. By the end of the first Lockdown we have completed 250 portraits and raised over £6,000 (people often donate more than £25) and it was a production line for several artists...
