We wanted to do our bit and raise money for a local charity during lockdown. We know how important dogs are, helping to keep us sane, often making us laugh and keeping us active! As artists a we felt we could raise money by painting dogs in aid of our local hospice, Sue Ryder's Leckhampton Court Hospice. Dog owners are sending in their photos and for a donation of £25 plus postage we are producing their dog's portrait.
It has proved to be a great way to brighten up people's lives while raising money. By 24th April, after 2 weeks of painting we have completed almost 100 portraits and raised over £3,000 (people often donate more than £25) but it is hard work....
Artists - if you would like to join us by committing to paint some dog portraits in aid of Sue Ryder we would love your help
Dog lovers - would you like a picture of your dog or your friend's (maybe a gift for someone currently in lockdown!). Send us a photo and we will tell you how to make payment. Email dovegalleryno6@gmail.com or you can go straight to the Just giving Page using the link below,
